SWA YWP Committee (2024-2025)

 

Singapore Water Association Young Water Professionals Committee was called to the table on 1st November 2024, in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of SWA, Grand Singapore Water Industry Nite (Grand SWIN)

 

Historic Milestone:
For the first time in 10 years since establishment, the YWP Committee has independently executed its full event calendar, a curated series designed to attract and develop young talent for the water sector. This milestone was achieved through the successful delivery of interactive 1:1 mentorship program, intimate fireside chats, industrial site visits and globally exposure to international organizations including International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) and Philippine Young Water Professionals (PYWP) at the recent Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) Spotlight 2025.

Key Achievements (2024–2025)

• Elevated Mentorship Programme: Spearheaded a comprehensive mentorship initiative featuring curated in-person and virtual sessions, one-on-one CV and interview workshops, exclusive industrial site visits, and professional coaching clinics, directly fostering the next generation of water sector talent.

 

• Strategic Industry Engagement & Knowledge Transfer: Drove significant industry engagement through a high-attendance workshop with AECOM (131 participants) and a series of technical visits to leading organizations like Keppel and PUB, as well as critical national infrastructure sites including Marina Barrage and Ulu Pandan WWTP.

 

• Global Collaboration: Amplified Singapore’s presence on the world stage through active participation and representation at the prestigious IAHR World Congress, the FMP-YWP Graduation ceremony, and by fostering strategic partnerships with regional YWP chapters, kickoff outreach with Philippine Young Water Professionals (PYWP) at Asian Development Bank (ADB) Water in fruitful philanthropic avenues.

 

• Signature Brand-Building Initiatives: Successfully executed flagship events such as SWIN Nite 2025 and sustained strategic LinkedIn campaigns, significantly enhancing the committee’s visibility, strengthening its brand, and expanding its professional network.
