Singapore Water Association will be organising a 2-day course on The Art of Reliability Maintenance For Water Plants In Singapore on 21-22 October 2020 at e2i. 


Participants of this course will have a deeper understanding of the process requirements for successfully operating and maintaining a SWRO plant.  Participants will acquire step-by-step knowledge on identifying, correcting and preventing operational problems in a typical SWRO plant.  They will discuss a current case of a SWRO plant.

PE Khoo Kay Leng has more than 40 years of Electrical Engineering in the Public Utilities Board, Singapore covering the various aspects of design, construction and maintenance in electrical plant in the water and wastewater utilities in Singapore.

His niche areas encompass comprehensive aspects of electrical engineering such as planning, designing followed by tender preparation and award, contract administration, supervision, commissioning and finally operation and maintenance.  His many years of experience in PUB include R&D development of new water treatment processes and troubleshooting equipment failures.  Engineering design, contract drafting of specifications and supervision of large contracts followed by progress payments

His professional training development includes EMA and PE Board registration.  He is also an ACTA qualified trainer Training Delivery, Training Methodology, Training Design, OJT.

His passion in Electrical Engineering has seen him involved in investigations of failure incidents and root cause analysis to prevent recurring systemic failures.

Having worked in the water industry many years, he has also acquired Masters in Environmental Engineering to complement his electrical engineering experience.
