Whistleblowing Policy
Singapore Water Association (SWA) is committed to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and transparency in all its activities. To uphold these values, SWA has established a Whistleblowing Policy to provide a safe and confidential channel for employees, members, partners, and other stakeholders to raise concerns about suspected misconduct or wrongdoing.
Scope
The policy covers concerns related to, but not limited to:
- Fraud, corruption, bribery, or theft
- Misuse of funds, assets, or resources
- Breaches of laws, regulations, or professional standards
- Conflicts of interest or unethical behaviour
- Concealment of any of the above
Reporting Mechanism
Individuals are encouraged to report in good faith any suspected improper conduct. Reports may be made confidentially through designated reporting channels, ensuring that matters are directed to the appropriate authority for impartial review and investigation.
Protection of Whistleblowers
SWA assures all whistleblowers that their identities will be kept confidential to the fullest extent possible and that they will be protected from retaliation, harassment, or disadvantage as a result of raising a concern in good faith.
Investigation and Follow-up
All reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly, fairly, and objectively. Findings will be addressed through appropriate corrective actions, disciplinary measures, or further escalation where necessary.
Commitment
SWA is dedicated to maintaining a culture of openness, integrity, and accountability. The Whistleblowing Policy reinforces our commitment to ethical conduct and strengthens trust with our members, employees, and partners.
